The Violin Studio
Curriculum
Private lessons are the core of our program and are customized to each student’s individual goals and skill level. Through regular level tests, students can qualify for a variety of activities and performance opportunities appropriate to their level.
In addition to private instruction, students can also enroll in group classes. While optional, these are a highlight of The Violin Studio’s program! They offer a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, connect with peers through chamber ensemble, and grow as a musician in a supportive environment.
New to music? No problem. We offer a beginner-friendly music theory/aural class to help students get comfortable with reading music, counting rhythms, understanding dynamics, and learning key music terms.
We are using textbooks: Improve Your Theory!, Improve Your Aural!, I Can Read Music!
Private Lesson
Weekly private lessons are mandatory. Students will be placed based on a level assessment, with activities assigned according to their individual level.
Group Class
A 10-week ensemble program culminating in a volunteer community concert. Each student will be assigned to an ensemble based on their level and age.
Music Theory Class
10-week programs offered at different levels, designed to strengthen essential musicianship
